I am confident this has been brought up before and if so, please direct me to the appropriate thread or post.
Unlike SH III and SH 4, the Automatic Targeting seems bugged. The solution does not take speed into account in the solution and the ships are never identified. While I have had some modicum of success thanks to the UI mods, I feel like I am forced to use full manual targeting because the TDC simply does not work right. The XO function is worthless. Are there any mods or resolutions to this issue? (BTW, the setting for "Force Manual" in the UI mod is turned off.) |

Auto targeting is a bit counter-intuitive, had me a bit bamboozled for a while.
Here is the solution; http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...22&postcount=1 |

Thanks for the reply. I found this out on my own late last night arguing with the TDC. Locking on disables the speed dial of the TDC and unlocking prevents the distance dial from changing. Compared to III and 4, it stinks of a major bug to me. I agree it is counter-intuitive. I can still manage to get kills at ~8km, but I have to work MUCH harder than in the previous games because I have to argue with the interface.
