Default The computer-side of your life

There is a stickied thread about members' bios. We do not have a pendant relating to what computer systems we have, what kind of basic software we use for non-gaming stuff, what additional hardware we frequently use with the rig, and what games are dear to us and what we have a taste for. Listing all this (and keeping it updated), would allow to give any member with whom we communicate a single link where the other could get a quick overview on what kind of computer-guy/gal he/she is delaing with. This might be helpful in technical discussions and problem-solving as well. Just refer to this thread, and give him your posting number, then you do not even need to look for the page link: "My rig you want to know, what games I like? My profile is post #28 in the computer-sticky, look there".

It might also be an idea to not just list all games you have currently installed, but that are also so dear to you that you still keep the CD, even if you do not run it anymore/currently. It shows the kind of interest and taste for games that you have in general, over a longer period of time. For example I do have just half of the listed games currently installed. But I like the idea that I could go back to any of them, if I want, even when needing to reinstall them first.

If this thread works as intended and finds interest, the mods could sticky it. In that case: keep your profiles updated, especially for the hardware ! It certainly also helps to not mess up this thread when everybody posts just one profile/posting!

I'll make a start.
