[REL] U-Boat Cruiser

U-Boat Cruiser is remake of my old IXB Two gun U-Boat.
Now works with omegu patch7.There was no two gun U-Boat in WW2.
The Type XI German U-boat was designed in 1938 along the lines of a World War I U-Cruiser But never built.

Start omegu select january 1940,Flotilla II.Wilhelmshaven
How to get crew to stern gun? First put crew to stern gun slots in crew menu, then use command to put crew to flak guns.

Real nice thanks for putting this up for us but i was expecting a milk cow is there a milk cow u boat out there for us to have play with ?

Milk cow as player sub? no, but in lurkerer's "Operation monsun" there
are some to resupply your boat.

Hey, I love your mod, been using it for 1 hour so far.
Just a thought though, according to the link you gave above U-Cruisers were armed with "Guns...... Two twin 5.0 inch deck guns" yet in your mod I have 2 single 10.5cm. Is this something you planned or is there an error?

U-cruiser link is there to show that U-Cruisers was planned for WW2, but not build,
Keltos jap sub have twin guns I think ,so maybe it is possiple to upgrade the mod.The planned XI u-cruiser also had seaplane scout, it would be cool, if it was possiple to ad working scout plane too. With sh4 1.5 you can call scout plane assistance. Maybe some day

XIB has twin gun turrents like surface ships have.. So if you can change german 10.5 to twin turrents, like surface ship mods have. Also "1 One-Man "Arado/Argus 231" reconnaissance seaplane stowed in forward vertical storage tube". So you do not need to make Airplane
hangar that jap I-400 has. Hmm if you use IXD2 hull, add twin surface ship turrents ala surface mods,... maybe doable? Then if you had working
Arado scout too....

Are you planning to release that for OM? Cause that would be amazing

I'm building it for SH3, then when i'm sure it works well I will add it too SH4. If i'm lucky SH5 after that.

As for now, SH427 and I are going to arm the U-cruiser with German 5.0in, then some 5.9in, and I am considering some 6.0in Japanese CL guns for some serious shelling I LOVE SOME SHELLING!

Well mine is armed with 5 inch guns and if I get it playable I will look into upgrading the guns across a campaign. The Type XI is perfect for the Pacific Theatre. Have you actually modelled the full dimensions of the Type XI or have you used the Type IX and stuck the guns on that?

We are going to use a type IX-D2 no 3D editing. The IX-D2 will have 5.0in starting and upgrade to 5.9in.

We are then going to take either a Sargo or Gato, and put on 6.0in guns. That way both sides can have UBER amounts of fun

EDIT: Please let it be known that this is NOT for the sake of realism. This is for fun.

So your's is purely for fun. It will be great to have something like that for both sides. There's Keltos01's mod for the Surcouf which i've been dying to try out. Hopefully when I get my Type XI working I can face off against it and see which one is the better submarine.

Just sank a Repulse class on a task force attack.
Love the U-cruiser mod here! Sank 4 ships sailing alone, and 2 in convoy near Shetland with the dual 10.5cm guns.

Does anyone know if Bermuda has ships?

Bermuda would have Royal Navy ships patroling near it.
