TMO to start?

Hi,
I need a pointer to install and use TMO as a complete gamer noob.

I'm a new player and would like to try TMO 2.0. I've never uploaded a mod to a game so have no idea how to install it or what it actually does, how it will play differently.

I've used the search function to see if there is a manual on TMO features or instructions on how to install and use it. Results against the search terms number in the hundreds of threads and the TMO thread itself has over 2,500 responses on it. No way I can wade through that to find the stuff I need, so I'm hoping someone here knows where the concise info can be found.

Help, please?
