The Creation Museum will announce details Wednesday afternoon of its planned expansion.

Answers In Genesis, which built and operates the religious-themed attraction, plans to build a full-scale wooden replica of Noah's Ark based on biblical descriptions.

So they build this big boat and let people get in side. What would be the reaction "gee this is a big boat" might be one of them.

I don't see how building a big boat would either confirm or refute the biblical story of Noah.

It wouldn't, but common sense would.

According to Wiki the Ark was ~150m x 25m x 15m (300x50x30 cubits, 1cubit = ~.5m) in size. Now, either Noah had one of those shrink guns from Duke Nukem 3D or it never happened.

I'd check it out if in the neighborhood and didn't have to pay to support that particular institution. I like boats; that's one more I'd get to see, but only if I could climb around the inside like I used to on Taney and Torsk.

Because the fact that modern man using modern tools building a boat that does not float, somehow proves that a more primitive man, using simple tools could, in fact build a boat that will float with two of every one of the millions of species of animals.

Makes sense... not to me, but it must make sense to someone.

Well, I think they should demonstrate it is possible, not by building a full size mock-up, but by building a full size boat, out of wood, using period techniques. It should, of course, be built by a single man, but I'd be happy with an entire construction team. They can then demonstrate the truth of the story by placing it in the ocean, and loading two of every animal into it, along with all the food and supplies needed for the animals and the eight person crew.

I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work...




And if it doesn't someone can at least film it and make it a new History Channel show.

But I agree. Even if the story were to be true (after all, God can do anything) this wouldn't prove it
