how to switch on radar

Hi again. I am playing 1.5 " Hunt for wounded bear". I can see a man standing in front of radar, I can swap ranges and move sweep switch. The on/off button highlights but i cannot switch it on. Thanks in advance.

The game shows the surface-search radar station whether you have it installed or not. It is an oversight by the game developers. The station will not work until;
a. the surface-search radar is actually available (in port), and
b. you have enough reknown to purchase and install it.

Your air search radar works automatically and does NOT have a station you can go to and operate. It is operated in the "background" by your AI crew.
