Okay guys, I have my copies of the newest three SH on the way to me.. However, as I try to grasp with the whole manual targeting I notice something.. in all of the explanations I see on here, (even though Ive had trig) I cannot seem to understand the methods of targeting.. Is anybody willing to (preferably on this thread) explain in simple newbie terms (if you use abbreviations, please use parenthesis and spell it out or explain what the word means) and explain how targeting works as far as setting torpedoe courses.. Please and thank you all

It would help us to know what boat you are currently in.
American step by step processes are some what different than German. We can break down what you should do for you but the instructions would vary widely depending upon the current situation. So you may need to give us an example first. Give us target bearing to you, a rough estimate of how far you think it is away, the weather conditions, and the current depth of the surrounding waters. All these things matter when making an attack. |

The simple thing is to go to the sticky at the top.."Skipper bag of tricks" and study the many targeting video's there.

Sub Skipper's Bag of Tricks--Techniques, tactics, tutorials, videos
Plenty of manual targeting techniques by lots of people. They are clearly explained both mathematically and graphically. You'll be amazed at how easy manual targeting is once you get a picture in your mind of what the basic principles are. Post any questions there and we'll be glad to help.
