Default Hard coded max DG range ?

attacked the convoy with DG

impact right up corner of image (white dot)

fired at 15000 range, even if set to 15500 in gunsight the shells always fell short by about 200 meters..

closed range to 13000 yards, ships visible on uzo, no reaction from escorts, and well in gunrange.

I set the angle seen on the uzo in the gunsight, then the range, then get off about four shots before I zoom to that tanker I aimed at in the convoy, this is nearly radar firing !

was above the convoy and I heard a very good whizzing sound : one of my incoming shells !

well they still fell 200 yards short... now at 12000 yards, well within max gun range for the 10,5 cm (3.9 inch) Type 88 gun

is there an actual game hardcoded max range then ? or the angle ?

DG set at :
max range :
15350 m
angle :
30

maybe the angle can't get high enough to attain max range ?

Did you change the sight before taking the screenshot? The distance was 12604 and your gun is at 11900.

I have some files with setting I will send you, won't help the accuracy but will let your crew fire at longer ranges.

yes, it's from a closer volley

thanks !! I wanted to see if I could hit something and if the escorts would then react to shells falling - they don't care !!!!!!
