Default SH4 will no longer play since Windows 10 upgrade.

Hello, I'm having trouble trying to start SH4 ever since I upgraded from 8.1 to 10, I tried almost everything I could think of. But compatibility settings won't work, reinstall with and without the legacy DirectX that's on the disk. I tried using administrator settings, but it trys to run since I can hear the disk spinning, but within 1 or 2 minutes, it stops spinning, and the process runs in the background.

APU: AMD A4-6210 APU with AMD Radeon R3 Graphics
RAM: 4.0GB DDR3
Graphics RAM: 512MB dedicated, 1024 - 2048? MB shared.
This is a laptop.

May not be your issue, but one of the things I read was Windows 10 comes with generic drivers, some of which may not be 100% compatible with you hardware.

In this case, the article recommended you go to your computer manufacturer's website and see if they have drivers for your computer model specifically for Windows 10.

Think I'll stick with my trusty Windows 7 for some time to come.

I found the problem, I should've done "Scaling on high DPI" and run as administrator on compatibility settings.

Hello Shipmate,
That worked for me too. Last night I was so frustrated. I even tried to revert back to Windows 7 but the files to revert were mysteriously missing. Today I reinstalled again and did the exact same thing as you in the compatibility setting and wala. Worked like a charm and made my day. Thanks
