Default Good Job Ducimus

Good job Ducimus on the revamped Aleutians traffic in TMO 2.0, just wrapped up a patrol from August-October 1942 there, had a blast.Sank two lone merchants but were challenging, ran into a TF north west of Attu, sank two escort carriers(Taiyo and Akitsu) and was pushed 125 feet below test depth by her escorts aching for revenger.Found a convoy 6 days later southwest of Attu in an area I was ordered to after reporting in by radio, 5 ships two escorts, had a goob approach going but a plane showed up and spotted me, alerting escorts and forcing me to dive to avoid his bombs, they were close but missed. The escorts, a Chidori and an unknown DD/DE really worked me over for 4 hours, pushing me to 400 feet at one point, in a Tambor Class(USS Trout), damaged the new deck gun you put in for Tambor class(works nice, really like it) also damaged stern tubes, compressor, trim pump, scopes, tdc, sonar stack and sj radar. Finally lost them and tried to find them but could not.Returned home with 7 fish(5 forward, two aft) and 40,000 tons down.

TMO really made an area of operations that is often neglected actual fun to run a patrol in.good job.I was surprised by the TF though, didnt see it in the Aleutian file when opened it up via ME.

Cool! I'll have to try out the Aleutians some time!

By the way, what is that red thing on your third screenshot up by bearing 115?

Yeah, that should be a black dot in TMO.

yea its a mogami cruiser, after a conversion i believe, it came with miner's shippack two, unfortunately no black dots for extra ships added to TMO, not sure how I would turn their map symbols into tmo black dots but wish i could.

Fun area to patrol, now just need cold weather clothing mod from someone so crew isnt patroling off Aleutians in t shirts and shorts lol.

You can just copy one of the 'shp' files from a TMO ship and re-name it.

Disable your Mogami mod.
Look in your Data/Sea folder.
Open up one of the ship folders.
Look for the shp file. This is the file that SH4 displays on the Nav Map.
eg. for the Taihosan it is 'NKSCS_Taihosan_shp.dds'
Copy it into your Mogami folder.
Rename it to overwrite the Mogami shp file.
Re-enable your Mogami mod.

Job done

I assume you did since not running any other mods that affec traffic, but its not in the Aleutians.mis file in the campaigns can open up with the ME, why I was shocked.Screenshots below if you didnt see them.I didnt add it, only changes I made to the aleutians traffic was added a chance of escort showing up with lone merchants and gave convoys greater chance of spawning.Assumed you inserted it somewhere. It was 150 miles or so roughly NW of Attu heading EAST in 1942.

If you're running ships added with shippack, they just join with the group, sometimes a lil out of position with the TF, but in the group.
