Default SH5 stops working when I start a new campaign...

Ok, I was told to come here for help from the Steam forums. This is my problem,When I start to play SH5, the initial loading of SH5 is completely fine, it's when I start a new campaign that's the problem, lol. The game asks me to choose a name, after I click ok the game starts to load. It'll probably keep the loading screen up for about 10 to 30 seconds when windows closes the game down. My specs are below:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Edition
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5 Ghz
Video: NVidea GeForce 8800GT - Driver Version: 8.17.11.9745

Please help me

Sounds like a broken install to me, try BIGREG's suggestion first and if that doesn't help you'll probably want to try uninstalling completely (might be worth cleaning your registry too) and then re-install and see what happens.

Also make sure is not installed in the Program Files folder. Is strongly recommended to be installed anywhere else, similar to what Bigred pointed out.

I tried the updater sugguestion but after it finished and started installing, it said that Silent Hunter 5 wasn't installed. I have three SATA 500 Gb drives, the C: drive is partioned and Silent Hunter 5 and all my Steam games are installed on the larger partion (My F: drive, which is strictly used for my Steam games and nothing else). This rules out the Program Files suggestion, lol. Then I tryed to uninstall/reinstall the game. Windows 7 does not populate the game in the list of installed programs, so how can I uninstall it? This is really pissing me off. I like the series, been playing this series since the Commodore 64c days. But if Ubisoft doesn't fix this soon they lost one more customer. And by the way, I want to thank you for helping me.

Are you sure about this? Silent Hunter != Silent Service...
