They shouldn't need the net, period. Since determining what opinion is "controversial" is BS, they should have no web access at all, or perhaps a specific allowed set of sites useful for work.

Can someone tell me what the problem is with this? They're blocking TSA employees from controversial websites, but employment under TSA is a voluntary condition; how is that any different from any entity where employees work under voluntary conditions blocking websites from its employees? Personally, I think the TSA is comprised primarily of layabouts who do little to enhance national security, and since my tax dollars pay for them, I would like to see their on-duty online access restricted to relevant things.

I don't care about internet use being constrained at any workplace in general, and in fact would rather have them, you know, doing their jobs.

That said, if they pass rules for net usage that allow SOME political content, but not other political content, then it's wrong IF THE EMPLOYER IS THE GOVERNMENT.

That last bit is critical. If, as your PRIVATE employer, I only allow you to read Fox News, that's fine by me (or only listen to Pacifica, say, for you commies out there). The State doing that, however, is unconstitutional.

Ban it altogether, no problem, ban SOME thoughts... nah.

Equal opportunity Censorship LOL TSA has a habbit of being controversial to the left and right so its not surprising that TSA just blocks the whole deal. They likely learned much from China. TSA Freaks.

Makes sense to me. Keep them in a line and doing their jobs. Anything controversial can be viewed after the shift is over. The TSA is there to protect, not have fun on the web.
