Feb '42: No TFs or Convoys

I'm near Manila. Plenty of notices about TFs or Convoys 100s of miles away. Many of them are not even going in my direction. What can I do to find them? Where to go for them? I know that the Midway and Coral Sea invasion forces have to be out there somewhere.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on finding them and what to do once I do.

Cheers,

Lee

Default what version are you playing

If you have RSRDC their is a midway mission. The last time I tried that mission I could not keep up with a Jap task force, so I let it go. Then I found and chased a convoy, fired at a carrier in a rain storm and sunk an American carrier! Be careful!

Alternatively, go on the web and locate the famous sea battles of WW2. Go to the location at the time and date of the battle. It will happen.

Feb of 42 lots of action near Java. Even in stock the invasion forces show up, but better scripted with RSRD. Most of it's late Feb, early March.

Can't remember, but I don't think stock scripts the Solomons area, don't recall any map labels, but check

If you want the battle of Coral Sea, here is the path they take. The best
ambush point is just below San Cristobal, the larger Island at the x's, but not sure if it's marked in stock or if they take that correct route in stock,
but I marked the historic route they take. Best time is be there May 5.

The X's to the left heading to Rabual is the Port Moresby invasion force. You time it right you can attack it after the battle of the Coral Sea around May 9...It's a biggie. Again, not sure if stock has these correct forces.

The Solomons is busy in 42. You have the Shoho invasion group, battle of Coral Sea, Port Moresby invasion group, Battle of Savo and the large battle of Santa Cruz. RSRD is worth is just for the Solomons action

Just so many dern planes.
