Default low FPS in convoy attack

I found that when im in the middle of a big convoy i get a loss in FPS....it reach 5-6 FPS when i have also a warship on my back.

My System is pretty good...windows 7 64bit, core i7, nvidia geforce GT230M,
4giga ram.....

Any suggestion?

Thats a tricky one, your specs suggest you really should have no problems at all, do you get the same problem if you disable my mod (newinteriors)??

All i can think is that the new interiors can cause issues with both texture memory on your gfx card (uses ~150Mb on top of everything else in sh3) as well as system ram problems for some folks, there was the 4Gb patch that partially fixed that by allowing sh3.exe to use more system ram.

I agree with Flackmonkey. You have a bottleneck somewhere with too much data trying to get through. I am not familiar with your video card. Do you have the latest driver?
I would suggest getting the 4Gb patch, use booste (I suggest 8GB) if you have Windows7, obtain AlacrityPC (64bit) to shut off unneeded junk. I also use Lasso to reduce the affinity of any background activity and set the affinity of the game to high.
On my computer, I have found windows7 an improvement over vista, and a marked improvement over XP. I had system overheating with both XP and vista and data slowing (low fr) with heavy processing loads and this was vastly improved with windows7.
Using the naval academy convoy mission, check your frame rate with and without any mods; you didn't say, but I assume you are using GWX, and this supermod should not give you a problem with frame rate over vanilla SH3, although it will increase your load time.
If there is a difference with and without mods, enable them one by one and check the frame rates to ID the problem.

Had the same frame rate issues using XP32 Bit. Didn't find the reason.
Installed Vista64Bit for testing. No such issues at all. So it's a driver or software problem related to my Xp 32 Bit.

I don't know your operating system.
Google 4Gb Patch and you will get a patch for your operating system.
If not, post your OS.

Don't use a campaign for testing; use the missions in the Naval Academy or single missions.
You can also use a blank campaign as it speeds up loading greatly.

I spent hours on this trouble and i realized that nothing is issued by mods or the game itself.
The video card is ok.

I have this process "svchost" that sometimes without advices starts to consume my CPU. It reach also 50% without a reason.
I tried to deactivate everything with "enditall" but no result

Any suggestion before format the whole system?

Try Lasso to see if it helps: http://www.bitsum.com/
Otherwise, I have not a clue.
