Default [REQ]Kitchen sounds

Sorry if im not doing this right, my first. But "ambiance_Kitchen_sequence" and " Boiling pot" sounds are all ready there in the sound folder but not working, not i my game anyway. Same for the rest ? Is there anyone out there that can make something or in some way fix that. Its a shame not to use it since i like to hang around the cook and nibble on something, and i mean food

Thanks from
Mr. Balchen

I reckon Sober may have meant to add the two files into the mod itself and then enable it?

But I tried and that doesn't work...

I suspect that the two sound files you refer to need somehow to be attached to the "area" of the sub to work.

And sorry, I have no idea how you would do that

If I remember right, you have to make a folder for the mod and insert Capthelm's data folder into it. Then enable the whole thing via JSGME. Because when you unzip the downloaded file you only get a data folder right?

No, you get this Capthelms_SH5_Audio_Mod\Capthelms SH5 Audio Mod\SH5\data\Sound . So i take the SH5 folder and put that in the MODS folder. But even if the mod works, there is no soundfile that has anything to do with the Amb.sound in the kitchen or the boiling pot sound. There is no notepad file or anything in there that will make those 2 soundfiles work. In other words, Capthelms_SH5_Audio_Mod does not help.

Aye, you are right, just checked the files for myself. The biggest problem with the kitchen sound sequence that comes stock, is that it sounds like it is for a scripted sequence carried out by the cook and not just a back ground sound for the room(despite its name). That kind of a scripted sequence is most likely impossible to make right now. I am no expert on that though, if anyone would know, or could do it, it would be Heretic.

I know Sober. The soundfiles where meant to work in SH5, they are not some leftover from previous games. So i find it wierd they dont work, they never have. I really hope someone find a way to make them work. Never give up my father used to tell me.

You may need to create a Dummy spot in another file,
attach it to the Kitchen area,
then do the dsd and Sdl file work.

It sounds hard but is not actually.
And over time?
Many will use this.
