Default [REQ] Automated hatches

I must first thank Ubisoft , ALL of the modders and Subsim.I Haven't posted before but wondered if it is possible to have all the watertight hatches and doors close automaticilly when at battle stations?

Come on, they did a fantastic job. The fact that there are bugs is logical. Thats why they are trying to fix them.

Bad post. People can thank whoever they want!

Kaicokid - I'm no modder, but it probably can be done. Probably by linking in a close door script with the battle stations command. But you'd have to ask a modder if my thinking is correct.

Despite my threatenings, I've still not got the editor and started modding myself. Unfortunately, work gets in the way

I apologize ... I thank Ubi for having brought the saga of SH, but I give a lot more thanks to the modders to finish the job Ubi and improve it.

I would like to see a mod that does that too, maybe with alarms as well.
I know there are bugs in the game, but i still think it will become a great Sim, thanks to the modders.

I would actually like for the game to load with all hatches shut.

Is that historically accurate that all hatches were shut on battle stations in German subs?

It would take a lot of digging to find out for sure, but it would seem logical that they would close them when in battle stations. Communication could still be done thanks to the speaking tubes, and the ducting would still allow ventilation. If a leak started, it would be contained in that compartment already.

I would think the only hatch to remain open would be the one between the control room and radio/hydrophone room. I would think that would be necessary for the hydrophone whispers which I would think that speaky tubes would not work well for wispers.

That is the only hatch I ever leave open in game, in case I want to run to the hydrophone station.
