Random Folders in SH3Commander

I have a few questions concerning the random folders in SH3Commander.

1. When
commander picks the random folder(number 1-50+), does it randomly pick the folder and use all of the contents in that folder?

2. Related to #1-Can you have multiple dates in the same random folder?
For example: in folder 1, can you have a file labled "01011939" and a folder 08011939?

3. Related to #2-If you can have multiple dates, which one does Commander use if they are different?

The reason I ask is I'm using Sailor Steve's intro screens and on top of that, I have some pin up photos for my radio room as well. The dates are labeled differently. In career mode though, the loading screens work fine, but the picture in the radio room remains the same. Both mods are enabled thru JSGME installed in the SH#Commander folder.
I have some ideas for a possible fix, but I'd thought ask for som clarification first.

Any ideas are appreciated.

I'm not sure how it works, but I am sure Jaesen will be along sometime to straighten it out for you.

That said, if you want something to appear on a certain date, that's what the 'Date' folder is for. You can add multiple items there by simply adding new folders with the date, or adding things to date-labeled folders already there.

People use that one to change skins without having to do it manually. I use it to keep my gramophone songs in, so they start playing at roughly the time the real songs were released.

Thanks Steve.
During some of my searches last night(actually at 1:30am this morning ) I saw you seemed to be one of the experts and I was hoping for a reply from you. Some of your ideas using random folders sound really cool. I never thought of doing the skins that way-I'll have to play around with that and I really like the idea of the gramaphone tracks.

The more reading I did last night, the more I saw how powerful those random folders can be. Makes me appreciate SH3Commander more and more.

I think the random folders were mainly designed for things like loading screens and a lot of other things that aren't date-based.

Another thing to look into is the randomized events file that controls the malfunctions and sabotage, and the random crush depths. It can be used to make things happen at random, as opposed to things like the band playing different songs or loading screens. That file is for things that might happen.

The randomised events file can be used to force a % chance of something happening such as malfunctions or sabotage.

If you set it to 100% you can use it to replace a single line in SH3, meaning that your single line adjustment will not effect the rest of the file (such as basic.cfg) allowing mods that will not have an adverse effect on any other mod or supermod.

It can also give a choice of a lot of options and my mid-patrol radio messages uses randomised events to pick a new patrol grid from a list.

Jaesen has created a powerful tool.
