Default [REQ] visual distance to accurate

Hi all,

First post from a long time.
happy to see you again.

When i tried SHV, i thought it was a bad joke from UBISOFT, but with the great mods from the community, the game become much more interesting and playable.
In fact, i could'nt come back to SHIV now, and start to like very much SHV modded like this.

here is my request for further implementation :
I play 100%, so no external view, no tag on map.
this way, the work is much more exciting and you have the same kind of problem a sub commander of this period his supposed to have (finding aspect ratio, distance, speed is a real and exciting work)

But, when using the TDC (which is working perfectly, i'm over 90% of target hits from 500m to 2 km, so i really don't understand the "non working stadimeter" threads ...) i just have to ask the distance (using command key mod, CTRL+V) then i could have the very accurate distance of the target ship and insert this distance in the TDC.

On my opinon, it kills many of the work (even, of course, if you could avoid using it).
In fact, the farther is the target, the less accurate should be the determination of his real range.

May it be possible to have unaccurate calls when the ship is too far from our sub ?

something like :

if the ship is from 15km to 5 km :long distance
5 to 2 km : médium distance
2 to 1km : short range

something quite close to the sonar calls.

and under 1 km : the exact distance, as if n°2 used himself, only at this point, and not closer, the stadimeter.

As many of you know, range couldn't be really determined above 2.5km.
the error is too big to use a confortable window of fire (except using salvo).
But the visual calls are really too accurate, and could even help you to know if a very distant ship is closing or opening, or help you to determine speed, using some visual ranges and putting it inside the stadimeter, then finding the exact speed without error at large range, which is not realistic at all.

I just miss this to have complete immersion in this simulation (and moral repaired also, but this is ubisoft work, not modders work), to feel like a real commander, with no "cheat" able to help me i case i'm unable to do the job properly.
So, thank you very much if you could do that !

...and keep up your excellent works, great modders !
This SHV will become a real good simulation, the best sub simulation, with time and your work, no doubt about that !

...and sorry for my poor english
