Default New ATI Driver 10.3 Anyone Else

Having trouble with this , I d/ld it install and then tried to put my monitor to 1600 x 1200 and it would not go. The toolbar at the bottom of the screen just went and when I tried to load Far Cry 2 my DT icons just flickered. I tried SH5 and it was all over the place.

I went back to 10.2 drives and can get 1600x1200 with no problems and run my games again ?

Anyone else having problems with ATI 10.3 drives

No problems here with 10.3

Win 7 64-bit
phenom II x4 965
radeon 4870x2

Could have been a bad driver install. Did you also install the game profiles? (listed under all operating systems on game.amd.com drivers section)

If worst comes to worst, you may have to use driver cleaner or some such utility. But, it worked out of the box for me. Just ran the installer over top 10.2

Edit: Yes, FarCry 2 is a mess of black boxes popping in and out many times per second. SH5 works good though

Edit2: Far cry 2 works good when I changed edge detect to box AA

I'm running 10.3 and an AMD 4870 but haven't played SH5 with it. Works fine with Two Worlds, LOTRO and DAO if that's any help. I used the ATI Catalyst Install Manager.

I installed it, ATI 4890, win XP, it works as well as 10.1 or 10.2.

The only issue I have is a strange screen corruption when I descend the ladder from the bridge and enter the conning tower. It lasts for a moment and was there in all drivers. Does anyone else get this?

I also get this problem but I have an Nvidia 250 GTS!
so its the game engine causing the problem.

Don't know whether or not the 10.3b preview drivers will fix your specific issues, but these are newer than 10.3 and probably worth checking out.
