Default Critical ship areas?

Where I can find rough schematics of SH3 ships that depict critical areas like boiler rooms, fuel tanks, etc?

I've been using GWX3 for such a long time, I completely forgot that it removed the vanilla 'weak spot' diagrams from the recognition manual. Up until now, I followed the common wisdom of aiming my torps at the smokestack, but now feel an urge to understand my enemy a bit better.

Searching the forum led me to some rather vague mods and a lot of old/broken links.

I don't have any diagrams but I can describe them fairly well. You have four on merchants and a few more on war ships depending on how many turret mounts they have. The ones they have in common are the engen, fule tank, rudder/screws and the keel. The engens are generaly under the smoke stacks, under the middle one if they have more than one. The fule tanks are located just forward of the engens. The rudder and screws should be obvious and so should the keel. On war ships there are useualy magazines, ammo and gunpowder storage, located directly beneth the main gun bateries and on ships with a forward and aft baterys there is one forward and one aft; hit eather one and you won't have much of a target left.

Hope that helps.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm believe there used to be a PDF version of the in-game Recognition Manual from GWX2.1 that included "damage zones" highlighted in color on the ships. I'm pretty sure cause I used to have it before a drive failure...

@Vergol - Try searching for "recognition manuals"... might turn up something...

Here you go http://www.filefront.com/13792872/shipchart.pdf (courtesy of Jimbuna)

This is a chart with the critical areas for ships in stock SH3, but most do work as well for GWX.

I hope it helps.
