Default Just got SH5 today....

Hello, I'm sure nobody remembers me around here, I used to post a bunch after Sh3 came out. I loved SH3!

SH4 crashed on my computer, so I bought it but was disappointed and never played it.

SH5, though, the germans again... I was hoping it was going to be an improvement upon 3 like 3 was on 2, but...

...there isn't even a manual! I accidentally hit the "rig for silent running" button, and now I can't unrig!

The "time compression" icons that are apparently supposed to be in the upper right of the window aren't there. I can't tell what time compression setting I'm on.

I paid $50 for a game and there isn't even a printed MANUAL?

Can anyone help me at least with the "rig for red" and TC issues?

To take Silent running off talk to your chief engineer or XO,forgot which and select the Rig for silent running in the textbox,if you already have it running it will take it off.For time compression it doesn't become visible until about halfway back to Kiel.Use the + and - keys. Those are the keys I use for me because clicking gets so boring

Thank you both... I'll keep on slugging at it, and I'll check out that link, too.

I also noticed that there is no TC panel in the upper right corner as the manual says, but something tells me that it's not there on this first training mission for whatever reason.
I did find though than I can TC by calling up the map, then using the keypad + & - keys. But still no TC panel to indicate anything of it. So I just used the clock by hitting "o" key, and then hitting the + key till I see the clock spinning at a rate suitable, and the map's sub icon traveling at a suitable rate.
the to come out of TC where I want just hit "\" to go to 1X TC and the clock dissapears at that point.

There seems to be several things not yet active on this training cruise, thougb I dont see why as this trip would have been perfect for trying everything out. And this ship on this trip isnt the same boat you be Captain of either. And since we arent Captain on this boat thats probably why some things arent availible to us as first officer.
