[DRM-related] How good is your internet connection?

Even though this is DRM-related question, in no way I want this to turn into DRM-bashing thread!
I have looked up "average" numbers on line but with SHV release around the corner (and 99.999% sure to be released with DRM) it would be interesting to know how good is the net connection of Subsim members.

At work rather epic. Fiber direct to AT&T backbone.
At home Comcraptastic cable modem, that flakes out or dies mysteriously infrequently but regularly.

Today Ubisoft's website didn't respond three times as I browsed about trying to figure out what R.U.S.E. is and if I'll need to wear a suit to play it.

I have ADSL2, 10gb $50 a month.

usualy get around 200 -300 Kbps. but during peak times (evening and weekends) speed drops to around 100 Kbps, and sometimes as low as 35 Kbps.

I have a very good and stable connection. Can't remember any downtime the last two-three years.

Bredbandsbolaget, fiber. 100/10mbit.

ADSL 64k
Over all, very reliable. I can depend on it.

It's gone down for a several days a few times in the past years.
Occasionally it will drop out for an hour or so.

It always drops out at 1am for a moment to prevent me hosting things.

More precisely, it does so to prevent you from hosting a website or running a server. That comes for a higher price. I have the same situation - only I have ADSL: ~700kB/s upload / ~ 23kB/s download...

Goes down maybe once or twice a year. Usually it's the power that goes out before my 'net access.

What is the point of showing off out high speed scores here?
Oh wait - so Ubisoft can say see most people won't need to worry, cool idea.

Thats kind of how it is for most of us though, and they are well aware of that, hence their decision to go with DRM.

Most people that can afford to play modern PC games, often have a solid broadband connection. If you dont, well you cant really expect the entire industry to slow down for you, because it wont.

But if complaining on a message board makes you feel better...

Good job putting that 50 cent certificate to work, way to show support for players without broadband with a thread like this, you deserve a star.

Hell, why not:

It may not be the fastest, but it'll do.

I still hate the DRM.
