yea, Silent hunter has had a water problem...

To be honest, I think sh3s water looked better than SH4s

You mean the glare off of it with the angles of the waves, etc? I think SH5 will prove to be the same. To my eye after the enviroment was worked on looks quite realistic to me.

I thought SH4's water looked much more real; absolutely real with some of the environment mods.

Until it turned to jello, of course.

That's true, sadly. But one the other hand it had a more believable movement of the waves that seemed to go more in a general direction rather than just be a mess of random bumps and valleys like in SH3. SH4's water textures where also nicer.
