Default Captains log..

Is there any news on the possibility to enter your own observations and text in the captains log?

I find it immersive to have some AAR and journal to discuss afterwards here on subsim.com.

Captains Log:

This requirement to be online to hunt is an EPIC FAIL.

I surrender.

Come on Kaleun's... nothing on this issue ? I couldnt find anything, but hopefully in SH 62 it will be in it.. but on the other hand I guess it is for a developper one of the most difficult aspects to enter in a game, to open a enterable notepad. Modelling a sea is a peace of cake..

Captains Log 16 Feb, 1941:

It seems my stealthy 2 hour night approach has paid off! The juicy targets are 1000 meters off my port bow as I calculate my final parameters for surface attack. All ahead 2/3rds! Open outer...... WTF?!?!?!?!?

Server Fail/Disconnect?!?!?!?!?

You could always just do this in a text file on your computer. Same thing really.

Some of us already do. I do, but SH3 has a nasty habit of propgating exterior sounds onto every screen if you alt-tab from the game. Spending a further three hours listening to howling storm winds non-stop, even when submerged or when the weather is perfectly calm, is maddening.
It would cost them nothing to have a simple element in the game allowing you to type notes in a log book, with the option to retrieve them from a .txt file after the patrol is finished. It would be something that people would appreciate.
