November 1942,
U-95 Reports sinking of the Queen Elizabeth (87 490 tons liner), 3 torpedoes fired. 1 magnetic pistol set for 14m, hit middle of the ship, 1 impact pistol set for 10m, hit under first mast and another impact pistol, set for 8m, hit halfway to the stern. Dived to 170m to evade 3 angry destroyers (56 depthcharges detonations heard) forward deck destroyed, flooding in the crew quarters and radio room. Repairs made and we made it back home ! Patrol tonnage : 100 298 tons. (God this ship was SO huge, the larges merchants around him looked like toys, not even worth mentionning the coastal freighters. GWX 3.0 100% realism, epic moment... biggest ship sunk to this day for me) ![]()
