Hi! As part of an upcoming mod for SH4 I have tried to get rid of the "pool table look" that the land textures suffer from. I would imagine that a typical coastline at the turn of the century would have a variety of earth tones, cultivated patches of land, and so on.
I have replaced the stock grass textures and tested some huge TGA's based on Google Earth files. While the textures themselves look fine, I am getting an ugly black border near the water - plus, the underwater textures are completely black. 1) What is the default ocean floor texture, and how do I get it back? 2) Can the texture coexist with the new tga's, or will I be forced to use one or the other? 3) Does this have anything to do with me using TGA's instead of DDS files? I would REALLY appreciate any help from the more experienced environmental/texture modders. Thanks! ![]() |

1) data/terrain/textures/sand02.dds and stone01.dds getting it back? well, you do use JSGME, don't you? ![]() 2) It should, since you're editing the grass files and not the sand and stone files. 3) I don't know why you would be using tga instead of dds, but if you need a tga to dds converter, then here is one.

Never mind. It turns out I accidentally deleted the sea floor textures while making the mod. Everything is OK now. Thanks anyway Carotio.
