Default Russian subs off our coast

Russia is increasingly becoming aggressive:

Probably because they think Obama is a pushover. They are probably right.

Yes, this is probably it. This definately wouldnt have happened with a republican in office, not in a million years, it is impossible that Russia would do htis kind of posturing due to its own leadership direction, no, that simply can not be, it all has to be connected to Obama.

You really are some piece of work.

This has more to do with internal russian politics and worldwide grandstanding than anything else. The reaction is rather disappointing. This is not even newsworthy.

They ran 2 attack subs NEAR our territorial waters. Big deal. I usually don't agree with russian naval spokespeople, but they were in international waters and didn't do anything threatening. They have had this capability for decades, and suddenly we are suprised by this? Excuse me? A Victor 3 got caught on the surface with a fishing net in its screws off the coast of NC many years ago - INSIDE territorial US waters - and it didn't even make the local news.

Yes - its something they haven't done in a long while. But with the failure of the Bulava, they need something to make them look as if they are still a force to be reckoned with. This is an international power projection notice - not to the US, but to others. There are not many countries that can put subs anywhere they want in the world - and Russia is simply making sure that certain new maritime players don't forget it has that ability.

I may not like President Obamas policies - but laying this at his door is a bit of a stretch.
