Default [WIP] Kiel Canal Bridges

Hi everyone,

for more pleasure travelling the Kiel Canal, “Ottibald” (from the German Ubi-Forum) made some wonderful models of the “Levensau High Bridge” and of the historical “Rendsburg turnable Road Bridge” (3-D-model and textures by “Ottibald”, implementation into DAT file and animation by “rowi58”).

The first one - “Levensau High Bridge” - is ready for download (see his “MediaFire” site: EDIT you must d/l both files from this site: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=2...5965eaa7bc68bc - click on "01 Bruecken Mod's"- fist the basic mod "Levensauer_Hochbruecke_Mod.7z" and then the update "Levensauer_HB_Mod_V2.0.7z").

On the screen shot, you also see a “Train”, made by “nautilus1942” (Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=1...4e75f6e8ebb871 ).

Still a WIP – but it works: the “Rendsburg turanbale Road Bridge”. Completely animated turnable bridge(parts) and movable barrier/boom gate. The screen shots will give you a little impression of that bridge.

A full cycle takes 5 minutes from opening via closing back to opening. Synchronously to the bridge, the barrier will open or close.

These two videos (sorry for the poor quality) will show you how that works.

The “Rendsburg turnable Road Bridge” will be released with the next Update for LSH3 (ETA September 2009) but it will be also available as a “stand-alone-mod”.

Greetings

Truly amazing work there

The above link for the Train leads to a page with three different files to D/L. Which one is the train?

Rowi:
just a question: I just downloaded it and when I open it I see only 1 DAT file inside the main folder with the name of your mod and the same with the hafenobjekte update, but i don't see the folder where it should go... is it suposed to go inside the data/Libarary or where?
Thank you again and sorry to bother you

Good stuff, I run a modded GWX 1.03, will this work with that as is, or could I easily adapt it? Thanks.

Hi Reece,

technical, you can use the bridges with every mod or stock SH3. Of course - you need the Kiel Canal, which is implemented in all "Super Mods".

But the "Levensau High Bridge" will need a modified terrain of the Kiel Canal. "Ottibald" but this modified terrain into his mod - but the installation is a little bit difficult - only for the experienced user.

Both bridges will be in the next version of LSH3 (4.1, ETA September 09) and as far as i know the "Levensauer High Bridge" including modified terrain is embedded in WAC 4.0 too (ETA ???).

Greetings

Hi mate,

of course, you can use "nautilus1942" equipmet were ever you want. I'll use some of these part in harbour and will make some "external Cargo" out of the german tanks - to use with german ships/convoys.

Greetings

Thanks Rowi58, I have the Kiel Canal, also, after a bit of work, the St Nazaire Mod, hopefully this one soon!
PS. The link to the train has 3 files/folders in German, which one do we use? Cheers.
