REAL ghost ship..??

May 23 1940 CG8612

GWX. 3.0/SHCommander/16k atmo/about 10 of vondos's ships

Medium cargo vanishes b4 my very eyes...

I have torpedoed and deck gunned this cargo ship several different times and when it sinks it just poofs! Good thing I save first!!

No wreck marker on the map, it just fades away... the ship graphic sinks yet there is no credit.

Its a French ship but its may of 1940 so its GTG. Yet oddly... no score

here she is..steer clear kaluens...

I am going to reload let her sail by and try a different target.... hopefully its not catching...

How close is it to the nearest French (other allied) port? She could have just reach the legendary Puff point.

So, the Philadelphia experiment research wasnt Einstein's idea after all!

To be honest i had an incident like this involving a whole convoy.
I had them on the radar just south of Ireland. BF17 grid if i remember right.
I submerged and waited for it to get into position.
One hour, two hours, three ours... WTF, i went to check.
The whole convoy was sitting in place doing nothing.
I sunk some ships but no marker. they went down and a black line on my map showed up (the hydrophone line probably).

I had this with an Ore Carrier.... saw it, it was sinking, then disappeared. No Sunk Ship marker, no points. After that ALL ships I sunk did the same thing...then... I got a NULL patrol grid in SH3Commander and on next load my save game was corrupted...
