Default Unable to alter course.

Anyone else experience this?:

During battle, after about an hour or more of play, some of my ships, especially divisions of destroyers, stop responding to commands to execute turns. I select, then set new course, waypoints, etc. But they continue on the current heading.

There have been a few folks say similar things, so I'm going to assume you've got the same problem. For other folks, it's been not doing the right sequence of left and right clicks the interface requires. If this doesn't solve your problem, then please send in a ticket about it.

To make divisions turn, you have to do the following. Step #5 is where other folks have had problems.
  1. Left-click to select any ship of the division, it doesn't matter which.
  2. Right-click to bring up the orders buttons.
  3. Left-click on the "change course" button. This causes the yellow arrow to appear on the water. The arrow is tied to the mouse at this point.
  4. Without clicking, bend the arrow to where you want it by moving the mouse.
  5. Once the arrow is where you want it, right-click. This freezes the yellow arrow in place, separates it from the mouse, and brings up the buttons to select the type of turn you want to do.
  6. Left-click on the type of turn desired (in succession, immediately, etc.). The end.
Optional step 5A. Hit W to set a waypoint, bend the arrow again, repeat as desired.

The other people who have reported similar problems aren't doing the right-click in step 5. They're left-clicking, which cancels everything they've done up to that point.

Obviously, the interface isn't at its best here, because it's caused several folks problems. We might try to streamline this in the future. But if this isn't the same problem you're having, then it's a new one on me, and we'll need a bug report.
