Default GWX3.0 & MD5 check

Hi guys, long time no see !

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!

I've been away from SH3 (and this community) for a few months thanks to work (again!) and travelling etc.

I see we now have version 3.0 of GWX (excellent work !!!!), so I downloaded the full 1.4GB .exe file earlier today but here's my problem - the md5 codes don't match... :hmm:

I use Firefox with the additional download manager, and it was able to get this file in a little under an hour. If I do the usual 'save target' method it was going to take almost 7 hours at only 70-90kbps !

The code I get from using winMD5Sum is:

ee96ed51e0082bd920e27e416c0aff30

But from the green link next to the downloader at the BTS site I get:
d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e

Can you please confirm if I'm doing this right? - and if so, why the huge difference?

Cheers all !

Once again, thanks for GWX3.0 !!!

If the MD5 does not match?
You have a bad download.
This happens from time to time.

Re-download.

Hi SSB, yes that was my problem.

In the end I downloaded all the .BIN files instead and their MD5's matched so at least that works. The install went smoothly too.

I would suggest doing the same in the meantime. I don't think there is any difference between them - the installed content is the same.

THX for the hint, mate. I did that already. Nevertheless I'm looking for the single file installer to complete the picture...
