What is inside that file apart from environmental and weather items? The gwx file is 10 times larger than the stock sh3 one..

The scene.dat file contains images - embedded TGAs. Some of these have been modded in the GWX version. For example, the GWX moon.tga is larger & more detailed than the stock one.

Download Silent 3ditor & take a look -
