Annoying bug....

Most annoying frikin thing happened while on patrol.

Just did a photo recon, got out of the area and surfaced. Somehow my crew kept generating CO2!!! I pleaded with my men to open the dang conning tower but they refused . Tried surfacing multiple times - no luck... tried saving and reloading - no luck.

Said ok boys if thats how you want it... Went hard to starboard and battle stations to use up more O2. Went in a circle until I was dead (fully surfaced)

What gives??? Just lost my career - now I have to start over.

It's a bug introduced by 1.5. Some have it some don't, you can just save the game while surfaced, exit to menu and reload and that will take care of it.

nope, it was in 1.4 game as well

This has been dealt with several times before. Also when you have a CO2 warning a little pop-up warning appears in the upper left corner (where you'll never look for it). Clicking on the CO2 warning pop-up button is supposed to surface the sub and open the hatches. Surfacing and just expecting the crew to open hatches doesn't work as they are not smart enough to do that before they die...

Try the button to see if it works. It always does for me and others. A few have had to save, exit and reload. I don't have a clue why. Call it a feature, not a bug!:rotfl:

...we did write the CNO with our concerns over accepting draftees into the naval service but he didn't take us seriously.

Huh minor point but in my game the button is in the upper right corner, rectangular and blue. Honestly Ive never tried to click it.

The main thing that bugs me is the button shows up when as little as 5% Co2 is built up. We have hours to go before its a real concearn... still that little button nags you.
