Any chance that a short description could be added next to each mod telling exactly what it does?

Go into your "Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\" directory and open up the file in there called "en_menu.txt" (assuming of course you are using the English version) and at line 90 you will see the "game paused" string. Delete the text but leave the bit that says "90=", save the file and thats it, no more game paused text in game. There is also another solution in case you don't need the controls in the screenshot. Press Num Del and the whole interface from the game, including the pause message will be hidden. You will be able to take clean screenshot. The intro movies are great, but I don't need to see them anymore Simply delete the two files from the "Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Movies\Intro\" directory. Hi,
i was just looking around for Tools. Could it be possible to separate the Mod listing and Tools listing ? as actualy this post is more used for the Mod's avaible. At the same time i'm curious about what tools people use ? Most of my work actualy is done with Ultraedit (text/hex editor) but i'm only working with the visible part of the iceberg here. Thanks for any informations and if the idea to start a whole new thread just for the modding tools, that way more modder could perhaps try themselves in that addicting hobby ![]() Stavinsky |

Bugfix for missing officer (who was left in damage control after a save and exit).
Your missing officers info will show up in at least one other crew slot (somewhere in the first 11 slots), depending on how many compartments he was moved to during your last game session. The game doesn't erase the info when you move someone out of the slot, it just changes that NrComp number to -1 to show it as unoccupied. The only time it completely over writes the slot info is when you move another crew member into the slot. Crew member slot 11 will have a NrComp number of 11 (damage control officer slot, see list below) change that to -1. Find one of the other slots his info appears in and change that nrComp number from -1 to one that matches the list below. One more note: If you can't find your officers info in any slot besides compartment 11 (because you moved another officer into that slot before saving) then find one of the other 10 officer crew member slots that has a -1 and copy/paste your missing officers info into that slot. Afterwards don't forget to change the NrComp number as explained above. ------------------------- Officer slots by compartment and NrComp number. This list is really huge....that has to be really hard work to put these things together. However, many of the thread links don't target to existing threads, one is thrown to main subsim forum page. Is that because those MOD-threads don't exist any more? Does anybody know how long are threads kept alive in this forum, if no new posts are coming into them?

That's really strange. You were absolutely right. I'm sorry for my first post about links problem. There is nothing bad with them, links in the form of "http://subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=something" are absolutely OK. But they behave strange with FIREFOX. If I paste this link into new FIREFOX window/tab, it throws me to the main forum page. Maybe some bad browser setting, I will check that later. In IE, all your links work how thay should work. THX for the browser tip again. Did you anytime notice any browser problems of this sort?

I noticed exactly the same problem with my Firefox. But in Opera it worked just as it should. And, of course, typing the accurate adresses in the Firefox gave proper results as well.
