Default Reduce Damage by editing savegame

Hello,

i had a very successful career-patrol today, but on way home i got unexpected contact with a H8K which hit the rear of my boat with a bomb. the boat suffered severe damage, but i shot down the plane.

now the problem:

both propshafts / driveshafts (dont know the english word, in german "Antriebswelle") were destroyed (1.0), so i cant get the boat moving. the last save game is 6 hours before

is there any way to reduce the damage at one of the propshafts, so i can get home ? i know editing the savegame would be cheating, but the patrol was so good...

Try asking in the modding section...http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=219

But frankly it would take more time to mod them than it would to go back to the previous save :hmm:

the game has a glitch in it where for some reason you cant get engines to be damaged seperately. if you lose one you lose both and to my knowledge it is something that no one has managed to fix yet. (it has something to do with the damage zones i think)
