Could this be the begining of the end of Microsofts monopoly. Lately, things have not been going too well for them. It will be interesting to see how their shares perform over the next few days - that will give some indication as to the thinking of the market.

They arn't taking Windows XP out of market at this moment, as there is still demand for Windows XP from tablet PCs or subnotebooks, which their relatively inferior hardware cannot support Windows Vista
Good to see Bill Gates retiring through, hope we will see less bugs, less bloated software, and less expensive Windows and Office suites. Although he vowed to give out the majority of his wealth to the needed, he still owns a lot of money, and the wealth comes from us, the customers who bought their overpriced softwares
