Default Couldn't have had it easier!!!

......and it STILL went all Pete Tong I just snuck in past the escorts of a large convoy, perfect shooting conditions Pitch black at night, VERY calm seas, not even a ripple. I maneuvered the boat into a favourable attack position, picked out two targets, input the calculations, and fired off my torps at both targets.

Not even a SINGLE hit from any of them. either that, or i'd set the depth a bit too deep and they just underran their targets. Running at 1 knot and rigged for silent, i couldn't reload, so, I swallowed my pride, and boogied on outta there.

They never had a clue I was there. But, I'd be a little suprised if any of you guys have had all four torpedos miss in a row. Rats thats a bit of a downer. The targets in question were a Large Cargo, and an Ore Carrier, would have been great kills.

Rather than reload the game, i've accepted it as errors on my part, and for realism, i'll let it slide, and blame myself. Either they were right on target and they just underran the targets, or they just missed.

I have had four duds in a row before though Of course, I never actually miss, just bad eels (they must have come that way from the depot, I'm sure) :p

Sometimes I feel 100% sure of my solution, but still all four torps just gide past the
convoy. I don't use externals, so I never know what I did wrong. It can really bring
my morale down.

This game needs the "torpedo is a dud, sir" message SHIV has.
There are many records of subs on both sides firing duds and the crew didn't even need the hydrophones to hear them, such was the clang it produced.

Thanks for the wooden rifles, Torpedo Inspectorate.

BTW ddiplock if they never knew you were there they either missed or ran too deep(most likely)
A dud will still alert them to attack.
