Default Loch Ewe tip

Here is a tip to increase your medals and promotions.

Beginning 11/39 until 12/39, in Loch Ewe, there will be a Nelson Battleship and a Revenge Battleship. Not to mention there will also be a V&W destroyer, two Tribal Destroyers, a Hunt I destroyer, a T-2 Tanker and several Elco torpedo boats.

Now here is ther trick. Sneak into the harbor, sink the patroling V&W destroyer at the mouth of the harbor. Next take a heading of 330 degrees until the Nelson Battleship comes into view. Target the center guns, (the Nelson has three 15" guns in the front of the ship, target the center gun mount) you'll be able to sink it with one torp if you hit the power magazine. Next, on the other side of the Battleship is a Class C Destroyer sitting pretty sitting still. Sink it. move into the port at Loch Ewe and back into the dock facing the Revenge Battleshiip. Target the second gun mount (15"). That way, you can hit the power mag and sink with one torp. Moving back out in the open harbor, sink the two Tribal destroyers. Reverse course. On the west side of the harbor the T-2 will either be sitting still in the harbor or docked. Either way you have a 10000 ton sitting duck. Sink this one. Next, if you have enough torps left over, you can sink the Hunt I destroyer.

This should put you well over 80000 tons for one mission. this can also be accomplished in less that a week. After this, move to the right side of the island where you can surface and "Exit Patrol."

After awarding the medals to the crew and assigning the qualifications, you'll be ready to restart another mission.

Here is the trick. Return to Loch Ewe. Presto! Sitting in the harbor is the exact same set up. One Nelson BB, one Revenge BB, as well as other destroyers and the T-2 from before. If you complete this in less than a week, then you can repeat the process two more times until 12/05/39 when the Revenge departs. Otherwise, the Nelson BB will be there over and over again until 01/05/40. (I'm currently on my third trip in Loch Ewe with the same results everytime.)

You can repeat this process over and over at least four times.

Remember to sink the V&W that patroling the mouth of the harbor first or you'll never make it out. Also, do not cut around the island to the port. There is a sub net blocking the passage.

Happy Hunting!

Loch Ewe also has those two floating docks, 55,000t for the pair for the cost of only 2 torpedo's.

I was there, sneaked into harbour, only Red Cross ship (neutral) was there, floating dock, 1 modern tanker (american) and other small fishing boats. I spent over 8 hours submerged, looked external view to spot Revenge and Nelson but NOTHING.
NO Nelson or Revenge there It was night 04/12/1939 SH3 +1.4b +GWX2.0
WHY ?

I sunk HMS Nelson in a convoy last Saturday and today I sunk HMS Rodney, harbor raiding who needs it. Not me that's for sure.
