i was gunning down a merchant cause i couldnt see it through the scope at night and was cruising along pretty close to it and i blew it up then all my bulkheads were destroyed and i was sinking too. the thing is before this ive been close to exploding ships and nothing has happend. this is my first couple hours in addon so is it new with the addon or had this happend to anyone else? hull damage all the way to 93.
somehow on top of this all im completely surfaced at 5m and yet my entire ship is completely blue (flooded) and nothing more is happening my radar has been repaired as well as everything that wasnt 'destroyred' which includes my bulkheads and all the flooding is going down except my engines are shot...what is going on |

no holes at all. i was shooting an unarmed merchant so i wasnt getting shot. at one point i saved and reloaded after repairing all the non-destroyed things and half the damage was back. good thing i got the co2 bug just a bit before this and had to save and reload to fix that so i didnt have to start my patrol over completely

All merchant vessels have a randomly determined cargo. It sounds like this one was "munitions". If you're too close to an explosion, your boat will take damage. Fuel in a tanker or munitions in a cargo ship can create very large explosions, so my guess is that's what happened.
Yep, he blowed up REAL good!
