Default For something at the start that's big!!

If you goto just pass the main entrance of Scapa and find a place to hide on Sept 6th 1939 just after 1600hrs there will be 3 battleships passing through the Hood and (2) unmarked Renowns that look like they might be on a trial run. I had to fend off some destroyers so I didn't have enough eel's to take them down but I got each one with 2 and then I had no more to finish them off I will try again. I am running GWX 2.0 I would have took pic's or video but I can't figure how. Well Good Luck all

You don't go into the scapa flow bay this area they are at is just pass the entrance as you are going toward the atlantic between scotland and scapa flow. I will try to do the pic thing and post if I can firgure it out.

With a well placed torpedo set for magnetic detonation its possible to sink even the Hood in just 1 shot. Though its a real gamble since the magnetic sensors don't generally work very well early in the war, when they do pretty much any ship can be sunk in 1 shot.

There's also some subnets in the middle of the bay of Scapa Flow. BB's like to lay anchor behind them so you should get close to em and check out if there's on there or not rather than wasting torpedo's.

Mmm...never had issues myself with Magnetic in early war
unless you are in bad wheater the magnetic my prematurly explode more often.

and who are you to destroy the Hood, thats Bismarcks kill

pretty neat thought that you found them, to take screenshot the buttons are CTRL + F11,
they are saved in your SilenthunterIII folder on your computer
but before posting convert them from .bmp to jpeg to reduce file-size.
use for example imageshack.us to host the screenshots.

Does anybody know if they named another ship after the sunk Hood? Or is the name Hood considered to be unlucky?

Well, my boss back to BdU specifically told me that Capital Ships attacks were off limits, and being a good boy I do whatever Im being ordered. Btw, as my Admiral told me in the same message, "U-Boot are unsuited for this kind of task"

Hi!

AFAIK there has not been another ship named "HMS Hood."

I am thinking the 2 other ships that I saw with the hood on Sept 6th 1939 that look like they were in the trial period do that they were mostly black in color was the Prince of Whales and King George cause they were brought out in 1939. I am not sure just doing some reading and they are the only one's made in 1939.
