I've started work to place all major operations scripted in GWX into radio messages to be received at the appropriate time.
For example, on 9 Jul 1943 you will receive the following message from Bdu: Allied fleet sighted en route to Sicily. All u-boats in Mediterranean theatre are to move to Sicily and disrupt Allied shipping. This supports GWXs Operation Husky. On 12 Jun 42: Allied convoy reported leaving Gibraltar, destination believed to be Malta. Escorts believed to include aircraft carrier and battleship. Units in Mediterranean theatre are to move to destroy convoy, Luftwaffe is available for direct support. Which supports Operation Harpoon. The idea behind this is threefold: 1. It should allow Kaleuns in the vicinity to get close enough to the convoys or task forces to receive the usual SH3 messages and interdict them, as well as encouraging contact reports to be sent to allow the Luftwaffe to take part in the battle. 2. It is designed to allow Kaleuns to feel more a part of World War Two rather than being a bit player who is only out to sink ships where they can find them. 3. It should allow Kaleuns worldwide to get more of a feel for what is happening elsewhere on the globe. If you're cruising in the Caribbean, you'll know something is going on in the Mediterranean and vice versa. I've seen a few great enhancements to the messages received from Bdu but, even after a couple of days of searching, nothing that is GWX mission specific. If this work has already been done, please let me know before I waste too much of my time! Any comments or requests will be gratefully received.

I've PM'd danurve so I don't end up doing work that he's already done. My understanding is that he has researched historical events and has included a huge number of RL immersion radio messages. My mod is keyed more towards putting Kaleuns in the middle of the action in GWX rather than historical accuracy, so it won't be appropriate for all players and many of them will prefer his outstanding mod. I've also PM'd Kpt. Lehmann to see if the GWX team are happy for me to use the GWX radio messages to make the mod JSGME ready.
Additonally, I've heard from emaluzer whose Lite Radio Traffic mod gives a few days warning of major events and also keeps you abreast of events on mainland Europe - port availability, declarations of war etc. He's kindly given me permission to use his mod as part of mine. I'm currently as far as the attacks on the Tirpitz and hope to get the mod finished by next weekend - as long as RL doesn't get in the way!

The radio messages in GWX are already included in RadioLog_Expanded.
