Getting Air support to work in the Pacific game

So ive gotten access to ranks in the Pacific game (not hard really). I have alot of reskinning to do, but heres what i got so far:




Now here is my show stopper. I can get abilities and such assigned, but I can't get airbases to display on the map like they do in the uboat/indian ocean game. Presumably, youd think all you need to do is set TacticalUnit=true on all the allied airbases. But that doesnt work. The base icons don't show, and without them, you can't select support units to send planes out of.

Ive been going over the files all morning, and i just can't figure it out. What am i missing here?

After some trial and error, im developing the impression that the player abilities, might be hardcoded to the uboat game.

Not a terrible loss if so, they are pretty gamey. Since the add on is a "what if" scenario, they're probably best left there anyway.

I did some test myself and came to that same impression.
