just went out on a patrol... no contacts the whole time... then all of a sudden a convoy... i get uber lucky sink all of the warships... then all of the merchants... big score for johnny; so happy i could kiss a squid.
get back to port, dock and then batta boom no points for the action... wtf is this mod buggy or is it just me?

STOCK SH3 KNOWN ISSUE WHICH IS HARD CODED AND CANNOT BE ADDRESSED BY MODS: Stock Silent Hunter III has a hard coded issue that has been experienced since date of release that occurs when a player leaves port, goes out on patrol, sinks targets and then returns too close to the original starting location in port which results in all "points" for the mission being discarded. your modifications have not caused this. this known issue does not occur all the time and appears to be random in its nature... so dock at your starting point at your own risk! The only suspected way to fix it would be for Ubisoft to release their source codes/ SDK which is not likely to happen. Fix: for now, the only known fix is to avoid returning to the exact starting location in the port from which you originated. (ie. dont drive the sub into the dock by the cheering crowds) - instead, maneuiver your boat to another section of the port OR close to within 10 - 20 KM of the home port and hit ESC then select the "DOCK AT" option to end the mission.

no nothing... no ships reading sunk... no renown... and no i didnt dock at the same spot... was about 4 miles away from tech. start point.
also the ships sank all brits... year is 1940 so i think we are good on the nuetrality

Sorry but this is one thing you cannot blame on GWX 2.
Dead hampsters... check de-magnetised fridge magnets... check clicking delete on your save by mistake... check these are examples on things that may legitmately be blamed on GWX 2. Not this issue though. ![]() This is veyr much an "SH3 problem" If this was your first patrol and before setting sail you upgraded the Sub that can lead to zilch by way of score. ![]() There is a section in the GWX manual that explains in detail about odd game behaviour. |

Page 11 of the "GWX 2.0 The grey Woves Expansion" manual under the section entitled "Known Silent Hunter III issues and workarounds", bullet point number one:
"If you upgrade your U-boat before the first patrol of a new career, you may not receive any credit for ships sunk during the first patrol, so you should not upgrade or change anything on your U-boat on your first patrol of a new career before leaving port." If this is not your first patrol, notice bullet point number 2: "If you upgrade your U-boat at the end of the current patriol you may not receive any credit for ships sunk during the patrol, so you should only upgrade your U-boat when you are ashore and about to leave for the next patrol." If you made any changes to your U-boat before the start of the first patrol in a new career... such as adding a different sonar, giving yourself an emblem on the conning tower etc. then you may not receive any renown for that particular patrol.
