Bernard is in my torpedo room!

I just had the most god awful bloody patrol EVER... period! Bloody horrible weather, thought the med was supposed to be sunny!!! Rough seas for nearly a week, makes it hard to aim using the OLC GUI.

First contact went fine, one Australian small merchant sent to the bottom. I encounter another again escorted by two DD's. I send a eel smashing into her starboard side midships, she sails on slowing down. I endure some serious punishment from the two escorts who landing two good hits, nearly sending me to the bottom. I evade the DD's and they eventually give up, to the relief of the crew.

I set up another attack on the limping ship, LOS! Watching through the attack scope I see the fish veer off to the right... yes, thats right, I put the AOB to the RIGHT instead of the LEFT! BERNARD! I quickly get another solution and fire another eel, this time it tracks well, then instead of a deafening explosion all I hear is "thud". A dud? It can't be so! At this point I'm reaching for my Luger, about to reduce the crews number by one.

"Batteries are at 10% Herr Kaleun" "Auftauchen!". I think all is well, although the crew is shattered I send a few to brave the weather in the conning tower. Two minutes after surfacing..."ALLLARRRM! FLUGZEUG!" A Beufighter screams out of know where and sprays the tower with machine gun fire, killing a crew member. Down we go, I surface after half an hour, but have no fish left and can't load the external reserves because of the weather. I decide to pack it in and head to base, can't stand it anymore! .

I'm actually just going to watch Das Boot lol, don't think much can go wrong with watching a film!
