Will I love this game? Because Im looking for a Modern Subsim (although SHIII and GWX are A-Mazing, I have to let them rest for a while) and came accross my (old) copy of 688I. After installing the realism patch I was underway and tamahawking cubans before you could say "CON, XO, All SEALS are away."
But, I became frustrated with the game's lack of deversity after a few days. So, Will I like Dangerous Waters? The Screens look amazing and it soulds very awesome. Thanks again, -Volk |

Well,
First, might I suggest downloading the demo here. You can either be a MH-60 or Kilo SS. Second, you must use the LWAMI mod for realism and doctorine changes to suppliment the SCS patch. Third, go to Bill's website along with the Commander Academy & Dive Center for tips and tactics on how to play. Great to see you come and play! EDIT: I almost forgot to mention that if you liked 688i, start off with Sub Command before graduating to DW. Subsim Review reports "If you liked Jane's 688(I), you will love Sub Command - three times as much." |

Some good advice given by sonar732. I didn't play 688 H/K but im sure DW offers much more diversity - there are a lot of platforms to learn and each one is unique in its own way and it definitely is a challenge to master them all.

I don't think sub command offers anything that DW doesn't. Except a more powerful scenario editor.

DW has the more powerful editor from what I understood, what does SC have that DW doesn't?

![]() I say get both. Sub Command has the SCX/SCU, and DW has more Sonalysts provided naval platforms (including a diesel sub) and the LWAMI mod. If you want to stay busy with modern naval simming, I recommend both. But of course, like sonar732 said above, there is a demo for you to try DW out before you actually buy it. It is good advice for you to see if you will enjoy it.

YES !!! YES !! YESS !!! You WILL love this game if you loved 688i Hunterkiller. This is 688i Hunterkiller with a bunch of extra playable platforms basically.
![]() Make sure to also put the LWAMI mod into it as well as the Sakurra mod. ![]()
