Default Modders, I salute you.

I bought SH4 when it first came out and experienced the gameplay through the first couple of patches. The game had problems, we all know that. But now, months later, I re-install and decide to see what's doin with the mod scene. I install TM 1.6.5, RSRD v112, ROW, NSM, and start a new career.

After two patrols, all I can say is - awesome. The difference is night and day. The game feels so much more alive. It looks better, it's more dynamic, and therefore more immersive. That, coupled with patch 1.3 and 1.4 on the horizon and I'm right back into this thing. I went from enjoying the game but feeling disappointed by its lack of polish to _really_ enjoying it. I even find myself using much lower TC and sticking to real-time during battles. The experience has been excellent.

Anyway, I just wanted to publicize my appreciation, for the modders and for the developers for sticking with it and not letting the game die. Thanks!

Remember all of the naysayers and Negative Nancys who came here when the game was released to sling mud at the game and scream about class action lawsuits?

I think we're getting to a point where we can say to them "Nyah, nyah, told ya so!" :p

Ussually I just read don't have much to say, but I'll surface just to agree. All the people that take the time to improve on this game then post it for all of us to enjoy, thank you very much. I'm sure there are many more then you realize who know your names but never speak up. Thanks guys.
