Default Help removing the sniveling coward and big compass

Hello All,
I speak english although I use the German voices for SPEECH. Whenever my sub is pinged by sonar, the sonar man announces that "we're being pinged" and then some somebody says something to the effect "we're all going to die", but since I don't speak German I doin't understand what the heck he is actually saying. Anyhow his tone of voice and his whinning are driving me crazy. Could you help me locate the sound file this coward is lurking in so I can yank him out of there.

Although I knew it took a lot of work, the large compass that slides out of the right side is just too big for me. Can someone help me deactivte it.

Thanks for help on both

Ain't GWX 2.0 GREAT!

Going back down to periscope depth

Default Frightened voice

Hello again, Perhaps I wasn't clear about this frightened voice. I recall that the subject of removing this voice had been brought once before in the forum. I may have been in error as to when it occurres. I'm doing this from memory. Believe this comment occurres after the German equivilant of "depth charges in the water" then this frightened voice says something like " we're going to die" or something like that. Not too sure what he is actulaly saying because it is in german. Believe the voice was part of the Das Bot sound add on. Please help me....it is bugging the hell out of me.

He's saying...

"Nun ist das endlich vorbei" = Now it's finally over...

And I can't recall having heard that in GWX 2 or maybe I got used to it

I think it's saying something to the effect of "when is this going to end?" ... But I don't know how you can get rid of it... I like it though, kind of reflects the feeling of the moment, is you see what I mean...

No neighbour, he is saying:

"Wann ist das endlich vorbei" = "when is this going to end?"

It's the file "SoM_S_Muffled_whispers.ogg" and can be found in the folders 1 to 4.

Cheers,
Paco.

The solution is simple, have the doctor on board remove his tonsils and if the problem persists, have the tongue cut out

It is possible to get rid of it by deleting one of the sound files. I can't remember which one it is, I will try and find it.

Heh, you're probably right, I'm usually kinda distracted when that particular phrase comes along... what with exploding barrels of fun headed my way

Default To All My Friends

Thank you all for the help!!! Now that I found out where the frightened fellow hides, I will launch him out of tube #1 with the crew cheering.

Don't want to push my luck but any ideas about removing the big compass?

Thanks again
