Ahoy there!
Sorry to ask this but I spend a lot of time looking for an answer about the max depth of the VIIc/41 in GWX 1.03 I read everywhere that the VIIc/41 is just the same model as the VIIc, so I want it to give it a more realistic, greater max depth. There are some threads but I can't figure out whether they are still right after GWX 1.03. Time Traveller's mod is giving me errors at startup, so I'm afraid to use that tool. I read everywhere that the VIIc/41 is just the same model as the VIIc, but their cfg files are different in GWX: In the file NSS_Uboat7c41.cfg it says: MaxDepth=300;meters The file NSS_Uboat7c.cfg says: MaxDepth=500;meters - Does that mean the VIIc can dive deeper than the VIIc/41 since GWX 1.03? I suppose not. But what do these lines mean? - Can I change them? - I read that TT's mod changes the zon file. Am I changing the wrong file (cfg)? Last edited by Canovaro; 12-06-07 at 05:08 AM. |

I think I read somewhere that the settings you mentioned don't affect the ingame max depth limit of boats. The settings the game reads are in some other file. As for your question, yes, the VIIC/41 and 42 does indeed go much deeper than a VIIC. To find the max depth possible just read the depth gauge where it's at the yellow zone limit (dockyard's certified depth for the boat). Multiply that setting by 2.25 and you have the theoretical max depth (roughly) for ideal conditions. Of course, the boat can go a bit deeper than that value.
