Default Where's the death?

I notice my sailors don't seem to die these days as they did back in the days of SH3. Infact, after catching a bomb in the bathtub it seems the gun crew will have only a minor headache. Trying to remember... but come to think of it, don't think I've come across a dead crew member yet. :hmm: I used to like hiding the dead guy away from the rest of the shell shocked crew in SH3.

The deck crew is way way too hard to kill. Having the deck swept by an AA gun on a merchant should be brutal, instead it does nothing at all.

Another thing that is unrealistic, is that you can't kill the men on the jap guns. I fired 5 40mm right into a guy on an AA gun and he just kept on fireing. After that I swept the deck with a 20mm to see if crew walking around would die; they dieed just like that.

Check out the crosses:

Watch crew is done. AA gunner is done. My sub was done

Don't know about the crosses ( haven't seen them yet ) but when you get a snotty nose Akizuki on your case 168 ft. above you with a very deadly "ash can" you can drop a whole ten feet and it's squish your gone. Hello Davey Jones.

These three scenes all took place in less than one minute. ( check the times bottom right corners ) and ten feet.

At least I was remembered.

Oh well dead is dead and I'll start again.

Or does this happen when you sound battlestations?

I have also yet to see the crosses. Would be good if they were a little more vunerable and might encourage a little more crew management/replacement. Even better would be if permanantly dibilitating wounds could be built in.

As many people complain about the game being too easy to win as getting killed. Must be the game is well balanced.
