Default SH3 Cdr CTD

I must be doing something wrong but I have no clue, so I came here for wiser minds than mine to figure this out. I just bought a new system after my last one got destroyed in an unfortunate event with large amounts of water coming from places it should not. This new system runs on Vista, and so far the few games I play work, so am happy about that. I located SH3 Cdr and installed it on my system and went to run it. On a side noe I am running with GWX and no current mods enabled through generic mod enabler. Either way, when I start Cdr it takes me to the old loading screen for SH3 than about halfway through it CTD. It always gives me the same message of rolling back when any mods are enabled or not. I have it running as an admin, and am now at a total loss of what to do. Are there files (patches) floating around for Cdr that I missed someplace or will Cdr not work with Vista. I am baffled!!

Ah Vista

Did you install SHIII and SH3commander outside of program files ?

What screen shows when not using SH3comander ?
Is it the GWX 1.03 one ? or something else

I actually have a seperate folder set up on my extra hard drive for games. When I load regular I have the 1.03 GWX screen coming up. I located the "target" that Cdr wants but not sure how I need to write it to point toward GWX. Would it look like this:

F:\Games\Ubisoft\GWX\SH3.exe or should it look for something else. It looks like I need to figure out how to get it pointed toward the GWX folder instead of the old SH3 folder. I keep SH3 on my system patched up to 1.4 so that if I ever need to re-install it I already have it on my sysytem, tha it is just a copy and paste kinda thing.

Ah I see

Well I have never been any good at that switch stuff
If it was me I would rename the old SilentHunterIII to something else
Fire up SH3 commander

Then it can find the exe ( as you renamed the folder ) so it asks you to point to it

Then point to your F drive

lol
But thats me
